Pipe Band Summer School

The Robert Gordon's College Pipe Band Summer School is open to all abilities – featuring a selection of musical and theory lessons culminating in a musical display in Union Street Gardens or outside the Auld Hoose on the final day.

If you are a piper, drummer or beginner irrespective of any ability please come and join our Pipe Band Summer School.

This camp has been specially developed for young pipers, drummers and beginners, with games, lessons, practical workshops, practice time and more...

New pupils and beginners are welcome to come along and try an instrument before the new school session.

The Pipe Band Camp will include:

• 1-2-1 lessons with members of the Pipe Band Tuition Team

• Group masterclasses with specialist external workshop leaders

• Ear-training and focus games

• Individual practice

• Come and try practice chanter, drum pad and tenor flourishing

• Repertoire classes

• Maintenance and technique clinics

• Demonstrations

• Composition

• Music reading skills

• Taster sessions for beginners

• Outdoor concert on the final day (weather permitting!)
