Pipe Band Summer Camp

The Robert Gordon's College Pipe Band Summer Camp is open to all!

Featuring a selection of musical and theory lessons culminating in a musical display in Union Terrace Gardens on the final day, weather permitting.

Young pipers and drummers of all abilities, from any school, are encouraged to come along to experience the fun at the RGC pipe band camp - participating in games, lessons and practical workshops all designed to help build skills, confidence and foster lasting friendships.

New pupils and beginners are welcome to come along and try an instrument before the new school session.

The Pipe Band Camp will include:

• 1-2-1 lessons with members of the Pipe Band Tuition Team

• Group masterclasses with specialist external workshop leaders

• Ear-training and focus games

• Individual practice

• Come and try practice chanter, drum pad and tenor flourishing

• Repertoire classes

• Maintenance and technique clinics

• Demonstrations

• Composition

• Music reading skills

• Taster sessions for beginners

• Outdoor concert on the final day (weather permitting!)
